The Story of Liberty

President Obama is still stating to the public that the second amendment is all about hunters. And he gets away with this because most people don’t read the Constitution. This rhetoric is dangerous, because as soon as people hear the word “hunters” they then often stop caring about the right to bear arms if they don’t hunt.

The second amendment is about something more important then hunting. It’s about Liberty and our ability to fight tyranny.

“…to disarm the people – that was the best and most effectual way to enslave them.” (George Mason, 3 Elliot, Debates at 380)

This is what the second amendment states:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
