Beyond the bounds of their lawful authority - It is the Congress!

Reblogged from Scanned Retina Blog:

Congress is Responsible.

From FBI website at http://www.fbi.gov/hq/cid/civilrights/color.htm

It is a crime for one or more persons acting under color of law willfully to deprive or conspire to deprive another person of any right protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States.

"Color of law" simply means that the person doing the act is using power given to him or her by a governmental agency (local, state or federal).

Did “law enforcement” perform admirably in Boston, or was it a “beta test” for something sinister???

I read an article by Michael Reagan today, which bemoaned the fact that the alleged Boston bomber brothers weren’t stopped before the event “because law enforcement and the intelligence community didn’t share surveillance information effectively enough.”

At the end, Reagan bemoans the fact that “… it was humiliating to watch a proud city be shut down and terrorized for more that 24 hours, its people cowering and ‘sheltering in place’ because of two punks with pistols and a couple of homemade pipe bombs.

Really? Yes, it was humiliating, but I would assert that the people of the Boston area “cowered” and “sheltered in place,” not because of a lack of sufficient “Big Brother” police state surveillance or the actions of ‘two punks with pistols and a couple of homemade pipe bombs,’ but because the people of Boston, like those in most areas controlled by leftist/statist politicians, have been substantially rendered defenseless by senseless, ineffective – in fact counter-productive” – gun control laws and a government-instilled “we have to rely on the government to protect us from every evil” mentality.

Taking guns away from law-abiding citizens because criminals sometimes misuse them is like having someone forcibly castrated because you think their neighbor has too many kids.

The leftists/statists always oppose any rationale defense, whether it is an anti-missile defense against foreign threats or the ability to use firearms to defend against thugs, madmen, terrorists, and (don’t forget) tyrants. One can only conclude that they (liberal statists in government) are the tyrants and their aim is to render us defenseless against their tyranny, even at the expense of our security. Our own leftist, statist tyrants are the greatest threat to our lives and liberty. The foreign enemies, thugs, madmen, and terrorists are just along for the ride.

The display of government excess, as evidenced by “locking down” the city and sending thousands of highly armed, militarized “police” agents, with armored fighting vehicles, full combat body armor, and automatic weapons to drag families from their homes at gunpoint, perform countless involuntary warrantless searches with absolutely no probable cause, and (reportedly) seize weapons was nothing short of the most shameful mass violation of civil rights since the door to door gun confiscations of Katrina and the internment of Japanese Americans during WWII.

DHS and other alphabet agencies have recently purchased over 1.8 BILLION rounds of ammo – enough to shoot every man, woman, and child in the country 5 times or more – enough for over 20 years of warfare here in the homeland at the intensity of the Iraq/Afghanistan conflict – most of it hollow point ammo that’s illegal for military use under international law, and have just ordered more and an additional 7,000 FULLY AUTOMATIC “personal defense” weapons. They have also recently purchased almost 3,000 armored fighting vehicles for use on the streets of America, in addition to the many already obtained from DoD. How does anyone with the capability of rational thought escape the conclusion that our government is preparing for a war on its own citizens?

Boston was just a beta test of “Police State 2.0″  They’re just waiting for an opportunity — most likely one of their own manufacture — to play on an even grander scale with their new toys.  Ever seen the Bruce Willis movie “The Siege” ??? Their dream world will make that look like a good day in Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood.

Wake up and smell the tyranny!  Never let your government disarm you!  It never ends well for the disarmed and defenseless.

Fusion Centers Collecting Information About Possibly Problematic Americans

Reblogged from Personal Liberty Digest™:

The Federal government used the 9/11 terror attacks as a catalyst in its quest to create a nationwide surveillance network sophisticated and powerful enough to collect dossiers on virtually all American citizens, in most cases without warrant, in the name of homeland security. One of the most powerful tools at the state’s disposal in recent years has been so-called fusion centers, which allow for citizen data to be collected and stored in central locations for access by all levels of law enforcement.

A "conspiracy theorist" is someone who notices things without official permission -- and a "domestic terrorist" is anybody who challenges the government's monopoly on violence.

Safe At The Gun Show

Reblogged from Personal Liberty Digest™:

One of the larger of the touring gun shows came through town recently; and being the sort of fellow I am, I gladly paid the entry fee and spent a few hours browsing the wares. I’ve written about my affinity for gun shows before, and I’m often asked by my non-“gun guy” friends to explain my regular attendance. I find my “it’s a traveling carnival of awesome” description elicits more confusion than understanding.

A bit of truth to counter the rampant, irrational fear of guns promoted by the left.

Guns and “Mental Health”

All of the talk about “keeping guns out of the hands of the mentally ill”, and even a legislative proposal in Florida to require successful completion of an “anger management” class to purchase ammunition (where presumably the instructor would render god-like judgement as to whether or not you should be so privileged as to be able to exercise your natural and constitutionally-guaranteed rights), compel me to point out the very potent and easily abused “slippery slope” tool that these ideas present to those who would outlaw all guns if they could.

“Psychiatry” (practiced by compliant supporters of tyrants) has been used throughout history as an excuse to disarm, imprison, “disappear”, and murder the political opponents of tyrants. Of course, on the other hand, history also shows that tyrants always employ thugs, barbarians, and psychopaths. They are more willing and easily persuaded to commit the tyrant’s atrocities than normal people.

Obama is a tyrant wannabe. There is absolutely nothing he will not ultimately do for power and the attainment of his objectives.   Disarming the people to eliminate any meaningful ability to resist tyranny and oppression is always one of the first steps for tyrants trying to take total control.

If you are unwilling to defend your right to your own lives, then you are merely like mice trying to argue with owls. You think their ways are wrong. They think you are dinner.” – Terry Goodkind in “Naked Empire”

From one who made the mistake of forgetting the past:
“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?… The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If…if…We didn’t love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation…. We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.” — Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

“As nightfall does not come at once, neither does oppression. In both instances, there’s a twilight where everything remains seemingly unchanged, and it is in such twilight that we must be aware of change in the air, however slight, lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness.” ~ Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas

Citizen disarmament always inevitably leads to mass murder at the hands of tyrants.

  • Hitler disarmed the Jews and others, then murdered millions
  • Stalin disarmed the Russians, them murdered millions
  • Mao disarmed the Chinese peasants, then murdered nearly 100 million
  • The Turks disarmed the Armenians, then murdered 1.5-2 million
  • Pol Pot disarmed the Cambodians and murdered millions
  • Rwanda disarmed its ethnic groups, then murdered millions

The list goes on … about 262 MILLION people murdered BY THEIR OWN GOVERNMENTS in the 20th century – AFTER they allowed those governments to disarm them. See: http://www.hawaii.edu/powerkills/20TH.HTM

They ALL thought “It can’t happen here” – until they were disarmed and it started, then it was too late. Don’t make the same mistake. Don’t EVER let your government disarm you.

The Founders knew that government, if not constrained at every step, will continue to accumulate power and control until it becomes tyranny. That’s why they feared standing armies and insisted that “the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”

“A tyrannical rule cannot in any reasonable construction be accounted lawful, and therefore the disturbance of such a government cannot be esteemed seditious, much less traitorous.” – Thomas Aquinas

When Injustice becomes Law, Resistance becomes Duty – Thomas Jefferson
